Patna, Bihar (UNA) :
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a formal notification announcing the postponement of the Assistant Electoral Disbursing Officer (AEDO) examination across the state. This high-stakes competitive test, which was scheduled to be conducted from January 10 to January 16, has been put on hold due to unforeseen administrative reasons and logistical adjustments required in the examination centers. Thousands of candidates from across Bihar were expected to appear for this recruitment drive, which is a critical component of the state’s administrative hiring calendar.
The decision to delay the exam comes at a time when the state machinery is managing multiple recruitment cycles simultaneously, leading to potential overlaps in venue availability and invigilation staff. Candidates have expressed mixed reactions to the news, with some welcoming the additional preparation time while others remain concerned about the impact on their career timelines. Commission officials have assured that the postponement is a temporary measure aimed at ensuring a fair and seamless testing process for all participants. Education experts suggest that such delays are often necessary to maintain the integrity of the examination system. For now, the focus remains on the BPSC's next announcement regarding the revised Admit Card release dates and the finalized window for the commencement of the written assessments.
