New Delhi India (UNA) :
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced changes to the 2026 board examination timetable, rescheduling a few important papers that were earlier set to be held on March 3. The decision affects select subjects for both Class 10 and Class 12 students.
For Class 10, some language and elective examinations originally planned for March 3 will now be conducted on March 11, 2026. These subjects are taken by a large number of students across different regions, and the shift offers extra days for focused revision and preparation.
In Class 12, the Legal Studies examination has been moved from March 3 to April 10, 2026. CBSE clarified that this change applies only to specific subjects, while the rest of the exam schedule remains unchanged.
For students and parents, this revision means slightly more breathing room during an already stressful exam season. Extra preparation time can help students revise thoroughly and manage exam pressure better, especially for subjects that require detailed study.
Schools have been advised to inform students about the updated dates and ensure study plans are adjusted accordingly. Students are encouraged to regularly check official CBSE updates and revise their schedules to avoid confusion as the examination season approaches.
